Accounting Professional and Ethical Standards Board (APESB)
Accounting Professional and Ethical Standards Board (APESB)
Industry: Standardisation and Professional Practice Guidance
The Accounting Professional and Ethical Standards Board (APESB) was established in 2006 as an initiative of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and CPA Australia. As an independent body, the role of the APESB is to set the code of ethics and the professional standards by which their members are required to abide.
Marketworthy designed and facilitated a collaborative workshop that included all members of the APESB board, secretariat and representatives of the founding bodies. The workshop established the foundation of the APESB Strategic Plan 2007-2009 and assisted to clarify and formalise thinking in regards to: mission, vision, values, product and service scope, management systems, operations systems, marketing and communications, infrastructure, human resources and financial management. This initial assignment was subsequently expanded to include the development of the APESB Strategic Plan an ‘activity based’ financial model.
